06/11/08 Minute of CDF promotion team (9th meeting)

Poster
Font – its special for the hand-written font
there is a well connection between the plane and the hand
the texture of the background can be lighter

client does not prefer focusing on the money element
Wrong spelling on some of the words

Not sure whether they have fitted in the wrong information

When dividing the groups of people
they should be the group of children and the mentor
the donor should have both leaflets to understand the running of the whole project

building the words out is a good concept
dividing the poster into 3 stages is good
if they are not so dirty
they may not have the same slogan
and they match the concept

**have to add the logo of勞工及福利局
add the先導計劃 and all the words on the poster
the large title maybe drawn by hands
but it has to be different from the words from the computer

too less detail for leaflet
client expected to have 2 sets of leaflets
- they have to be easy to classify, but not so different
and budget should be included for every suggested items
-do not know what is happening for the last one

client would like to have a connection between the promotion items and the animation
the poster design is needed to be re-developed

client will provide more feedback to us before Saturday


Animatic
- feel faint at the beginning (problem of 12fps?) – maybe pan the camera horizontally only
- the shot of bowing is too fast, and no continuity
- add more potatoes (audience) in the seats to make it grand
- cannot show what the paper is
- not comfortable if there is only one dissolve effect
- the rainbow – horizontal pan is okay
- the character walks too much after sliding down the rainbow
- not enough shots at the end
- any animation for the slogan?

**have to start drawing the props
and start working on the beginning of the story
break down the story and list out what is needed for each shot
make more detail on emotion and actions

Motion test
- no need to blink that much
- slide down the rainbow will be better
- its interesting to pretend to be a elegant girl when bowing
- the name of the girl can be more vigorous


Background
client prefer watercolor, tends to choose light color
maybe try to make the collage one tidier, the shape is not so “free form”
it maybe easier to accept

kitty:
- tidy the things of different view eg. close up
- make effect to the photos at the beginning of the story
- maybe we try to cut photos out and stick it together instead to create another feeling
- we should not use so much time to develop the beginning of the story

Chester:
- put the character into the background layout (to have the concept of the scale)
- try to establish the style as soon as possible

we did our work separately
so that there are not much linkage between the 2 items
we should post all the things on the blog
then be the reference of other team
eg. use the font from poster in the animation
